Look Back To See The Future by Frances M McCrory-Meservy 5 May 2014

You have to look back to see the future clearly. Picasso

Amazing simple statement.

That statement really made me think. It fits well with the "Experiencing God" course. You look back on your life to see what God has taught you and the things you have done. In looking back, you see guideposts that show you what you should do in the future.

Jer 30:2 "Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying: 'Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.

If you are not a Christian, you look back on your life and see what you are doing wrong. In the past is where you meet Jesus. When you embrace him and fall in love with him, you will be free from all your sins and will in the future have a wonderful loving life. It may have problems; but you will not be alone in them and will be joyful in spite of them.

Mat 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

If you are a Christian, you look back and see whatever you did wrong and repent of anything you see that is not pleasing to Jesus. This will free you future from the destruction of our country.

2 Chr 7:14-15 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

All requires to look back on our lives and back to what Jesus did for us.  He loves us and cares for us; but how much do we love him?

Phil 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

You can get the "Experiencing God" book on Amazon in many forms: book, kindle and audio CD.  Or you can request your church to teach the course.  That's where I learned of the course and Al and I took it together with about 25 friends.  It enriched our lives.
