God is my Protection By: Frances M. McCrory-Meservy September 1965

I found a job at a dealership in Waukegan that was not too far from home. Another Navy wife worked with me and I gave her $5 per week for a ride to work and back. We had only been there a couple of weeks when I accidentally saw some strange book entries and letters in the office. I told her about them and that it looked illegal to me.

On Friday, I felt a great urgency from the Holy Spirit that we should quit now. That is the only time I ever quit a job without giving notice. We just went in and told the office manager that we would not be back on Monday.

On the following Monday the FBI raided the dealership and arrested everyone there. Al thought I was nuts for quitting my job until he saw the evening news on Monday. The dealership turned out to be a front for the Mafia. God was still watching over me.
