CHRISTMAS 1965 By Frances M. McCrory-Meservy Dec 1965

It had snow several times before Christmas so there was plenty snow on Christmas eve.  We put on warm coats, boots and gloves and went out to see the lights and sights of Christmas.

We walked around our first Christmas Eve looking at trees even though we could not afford one. The owner of one lot asked us if we wanted to buy a tree. We told him we were just wishing because we could not afford one. He told us to come back at 9 PM when he was closing. He gave us the best tree on his lot for $1.00.

I had decorations from before Al and I married and we had a blast decorating that tree. I did not realize that this was Alís first Christmas tree; nor had he ever celebrated the birth of Jesus before.

We gave each other a photo album for Christmas. We filled it and about 30 more since then. We had a glorious Christmas.

Mat 2:2 saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."
