Salvation By Frances M. McCrory-Meservy

All you have to do to be saved is allow the Holy Spirit to possess you by moving inside you and working through you.  He is the one who produces the fruit of the Spirit in you so others will know you are a Christian.

If you said a prayer and did not change into a more loving, caring person, you did not get saved.  If you do not love God and your fellow man, you are not a Christian.

Jesus died on the cross when all our sins were placed on him.  He did this so we could live in Heaven.  Three days later he rose from the dead so we would not have to taste death (have eternal life.  Christians do not die.  We simply go from an earthly body instantly into our Spiritual body.

On this earth we are taught that we have to earn everything.  We are taught if we don't eat, drink, act or dress a certain way we are not Christians.  Our earthly living makes it hard for us to accept the simplicity of the Gospel.

1.    Jesus died on the cross so we would not have to die and go to hell.

2.    Jesus rose from the dead so we would not have to taste death.

3.    God gives us the faith to accept his gift of salvation.

4.    Jesus' Holy Spirit is willing to live in us and love others through us if we allow it.

5.    We are saved by Grace and can not earn it.

6.    We rest in the Lord and the Holy Spirit works in us and through us to do God's good pleasure.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Acts 15:8-9 "So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit (Gentiles), just as He did to us, "and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Gal 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Luke 8:14-15 "Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

Mat 7:16-20 "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

John 3:3-21 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." Nicodemus answered and said to Him, "How can these things be?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? "Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.

Mat 3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
