My great Grandfather Samuel C. Finney was born 13 Feb 1855  died May 1933 Alabama (probably Clarke County).  He was not yet a teen during the Civil War.  His father was John J. Finney born 10 sep 1808 South Carolina and died 1 Aug 1891 (probably in Alabama).  He was married in Wilcox Co Alabama in 1829.  He would have been around 53 during the Civil War.  I know his brother was Calvin K. Finney and his sisters were Sarah Finney and Marjory Finney - all except Calvin were born in SC.  Calvin was born in NC.  If you know who their parents were, please contact me at pennywind@yahoo.com Thanks, Fran
