Apple Pie

2 9 inch             deep dish Pie Crusts

cup                 Sugar

cup                 All-purpose flour

tsp.                 Salt

2 tsp.                 Apple pie spice (mixture of nutmeg & Cinnamon)]

7 large              Red Delicious Apples (cored, pealed and cut in chunks)

4 Pats               Butter

Preheat oven to 425 Deg. Mix flour, sugar and spices thoroughly. Put a layer of apples in one piecrust. Cover apples with flour mixture and repeat layers until mounded into piecrust. Put little pats of butter all over top of filling. Cover with piecrust, seal the edges with your fingers and poke holes in the crust with a fork. Put foil pie pan that piecrust came in or foil over the pie. Put in oven for 30 minutes. Remove top pie pan and allow top crust to brown for another 15 minutes or until brown.
