Food Poisoning By Frances M. McCrory-Meservy February 1989

We were on our church Bowling team. There were a couple of weeks in a row that Al kept getting food poison every time he ate at the Bowling alley but I did not.

I asked him if he believed the promise at the end of Mark and he said, "what promise?" I showed him Mark 16:17-18 and he has never had food poisoning since.

I had not quite realized how much believing what God said (the promise) is what activates the promise. If you don’t believe, it is not true for you; but if you do believe what God says, it is true for you.

Doubt is rationalizing the promise: "if this is God’s will for me." The answer is "Yes and Amen" to the promises. Unless a condition is given with the promise, there is no condition. Just believe what God's word says and receive.

Mark 16:17-18 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Mat 21:21-22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

2 Cor 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
