Why Jealousy?
Unfounded jealousy is when you think your mate is unfaithful but have no evidence to support it. You just don’t understand why your mate would be faithful to you.
On May 17, 2005 God gave me a picture of why non-Christians are attracted to Christians and marry them.
The non-Christian person has been taught that you have to earn everything. Many Christians are taught that also.
People inherently know when they do not deserve love. They also know when they do not deserve grace (unearned favor). Therefore they subconsciously feel their mates can not really be faithful to them.
Men want to keep their Christian wives or girlfriends because they are in love with the fruit of the Spirit that they bare. They think they are in love with the person. Since they don’t know what love is, they want to possess the person so they can be loved.
They are jealous because they know they do not deserve that kind of love (God’s Love).
They are also under God’s Grace when they are with their wives. They know they do not deserve that either.
They sub-consciously know if they lose their wife or girlfriend, they lose this small contact with God.
When they get saved, the jealousy leaves instantly because they now have God in them and do not feel like it’s the end of the world if the women leave.
The all-consuming need is no longer there. The need is fulfilled.
This is true in reverse if the wife or girlfriend is the non-Christian and the man is the Christian.
Love is not jealous (does not envy). Love is not easily angered.
Every person I know had an instant transformation when they accepted Jesus. They were instantly no longer jealous and the quick temper disappears. It’s an awesome thing to behold.
Any person who says he or she accepted Jesus without loosing the jealousy and/or temper is not being honest with you and possibly with himself.
Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Eph.2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.
2 Cor 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Mat 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Rom 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
1 Cor 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. ………
Eph 3:16--21 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
