CELEBRATE GIVING

As a star rose over Bethlehem

Three wise men headed east in a blur

Searching for Jesus in the middle of bedlam

Bringing gold, frankincense and myrrh.

They found the child in a manger

Surrounded by family, shepherd and critter.

Even though there was great danger,

They bowed in all their pomp and glitter.

They presented their new King

With the gifts they’d brought from afar.

The Angels on high began to sing

Of peace in a world filled with war.

Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord

By giving gifts, love and worth.

In a world filled with disregard,

We echo the Angel’s song of "Peace on Earth."
