"Let there be Love" by Anne Murray

Fruitless By: Frances McCrory Meservy 1996

Thorns and thistles they do grow

In our lives as we go.

God burns them away

And catches us if we sway.

But she was thorny throughout

And there were no fruit growing about.

She knew God was real

And just needed what faith could reveal.

She trusted man to make her secure

And things in this world to procure.

Through many men she found

Disappointment would abound.

She finally met our Lord

In the cancer ward.

She learned to trust

And with joy is about to bust.
