On a cold winter's night

With a star shinning bright.

God gives us a gift

That makes our spirits lift.

Jesus is the tree of life

God gives us to end strife.

When you look at your tree

Remember the gift is free.

When you look at the star

Remember it shines afar

To guide wise men tonight

To the one who makes things right.

The angels remind us of the song

They proclaim short and long:

Peace on earth to all people

Even in places without a steeple.

Garland shows God's love

Sent to us from above.

He wraps us in his arm

And keeps us from all harm.
