Love Grown Cold by Frances M. Meservy Nov. 11, 2009

His Holy Spirit came over me

And tears filled my eyes

As I came to see

The coldness that came with lies.

Because of evil in this place

Hearts are growing cold

We no longer run the race

That keeps us bold.

We allow fear to fill our hearts

And love no longer reigns.

We don't forgive our brother's tarts

Nor allow a stranger's bane.

As tears flow down my face

His love breaks my heart

I look at the human race

And see people growing apart.

God knows our hearts

Our prejudices and hate.

He wants to fill all our parts

With His love before it's too late.
