Life is a rat race

That’s filled with time and space.

There is never enough of either

Nor any time for a breather

To learn to live

In this race that won’t give.

We do not know when it started

Nor know when it has parted.

We know not what we’re racing for

Or to go near or far.

No matter how fast we go

We end up in the back row.
