Christmas comes but once a year;        Love by sharing with those in need

Yet it’s Spirit we hold dear.                  And joyfully completing every deed.

We could live it every day                    Love by making peace whenever possible

If we try in each and every way.          And patiently enduring the improbable.

The Spirit of Christmas is love            Love by kindly listening to others remiss

And it should fit us like a glove.         And mercifully forgive in all goodness.

Each one we meet should know         Love by gently guiding-never cause harm

To them love does flow.                      And faithfully keep friendships warm.

Love should be unconditional          Love by keeping emotions under control

And not by any means critical.        And all around you’ll bless and console.

Love speaks encouragement            Through you love will be revealed
