My husband, Al got this recipe from his Grandmother Chernesky in Pennsylvania. It’s quick, saves money and feeds a lot of people.
Beanie Weenies
4 12-oz cans Pork and Beans
2 pks. All beef hot dogs
1lg. Chopped Onion
1 tblsp. Olive Oil
Cut Hot Dogs into ˝ inch pieces. Brown hot dogs in hot olive oil. Add onions and sauté. Add beans (un-drained) and stir well. Simmer covered for about 30 minutes until flavors have blended. Serves 6 – 8
Serve with:
White, Wheat, Rye or Italian Bread
Milk or Iced Tea
