Earthquakes by Frances M. McCrory-Meservy 1987
My husband met a man in Houston whom God caught up in the spirit and showed he what causes earthquakes.
This man related that the earth is make up of fabric similar to tree limbs. Every time someone sins, a little weight is added to the limb and each time a person repents, the weight of that person's sins are removed from the limb.
When enough sin (weight) is built up in an area, a branch (limb) breaks. When enough branches break, it causes an earthquake.

tree trunk with branches and small limbs/same tree with leaves and flowers that add weight
Notice how straight and erect the tree is in early spring before the leaves and flowers are added. Now imagine the leaves and flowers are sin. See how they bend the limbs and branches over. If a bird lands on the branch, it will bend further and even the trunk will start to bow.
That means people cause earthquakes - not God. It's just one of those principles that God built into the universe.
We need to know what the principles are so we can do things correctly. Since we now have aircraft that can fly - we have learned some of those principles.
As we grow we learn more. It's called "precept upon precept." IE: when we learn one thing, it opens the door to learn more things and never stops until we die.
Num 16:29-33 "If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me. "But if the LORD creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the LORD." Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.
Rev 11:18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."
