Leadership - to be able to lead others without provocation, in a peaceful manor, activity directors, youth ministers, choir leaders, teachers, etc. - called to the church, believers & to non-believers/kings, presidents, governors, etc.; the ability to lead people; to cause people to want to do what you want them to do; inspires people to go a certain direction or do a certain thing <people who have an inspirational personality could easily be mistaken to have this gift>; a shepherd/Pastor is the head leader of the church and the Music Minister, heads of other ministries, Sunday school teachers, etc are leaders who are under the Pastor's leadership; a President/king is a Shepherd of a country and he has Governors and mayors and other leaders under him; God is the chief leader and He will lead each leader if they want Him to; A leader goes ahead of whomever he is leading and persuades them to follow - he does not go behind and drive them; a person may be called by God to lead from 1 to thousands of people. All gifts are used in accordance with the faith God gives us.

Example: There are certain people who just have a knack for getting people to follow them. They inspire and excite folks to do things they are usually hesitant to do. In the world they are called con artists but they are needed. A pastor should have this gift so he can lead his congregation in a peaceful, diplomatic way. This is a part of the Shepherding gift whether you are leading a church, city, state or nation.
Deu 1:15 "So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and knowledgeable men, and made them heads over you, leaders of thousands, leaders of hundreds, leaders of fifties, leaders of tens, and officers for your tribes.
