Angels (A Lullaby) Written and sung By: Frances M. McCrory-Meservy

when I had my children, I could not remember any lullabies so I made one up.  Different verses were written at different times - a verse for each child and grandchild (Stephanie's Children).

I made the quilt to go with the song (I embroidered the 1st verse & chorus on the quilt) in 1996 and gave it to my granddaughter Ambre' for Christmas.  I found the different scenes on material in 3 different cities (Houston, Beaumont TX & Wichita KS) It took me 6 years to find the pieces and make the quilt.  It was a labor of love.

(1966 for Stephanie)

Chorus

Rock-a-by and good night

My Little darlin'.

Close your eyes and sleep tight

My lit-tle one.

Play with Angels on the clouds

Count the stars and touch the moon

Rock-a-by and good night

My lit-tle one.

        Repeat Chorus

(1968 for David)

My lit-tle one.

          Repeat Chorus

They fill your dreams with Nursery Rhymes.

My lit-tle one.

Then come home on a parachute.

Rock-a-by and good night
