Where to Meet God by Frances M. McCrory-Meservy Oct 12, 2014

"There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning." --- Louis LVelvet d'Amour

I saw in this that "When we come to the end of ourselves (humility), that's where we find God." Remember that humility is the opposite of pride.

Psa 69:32 The humble shall see this and be glad; And you who seek God, your hearts shall live....

Prov 3:34 Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.

Prov 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

Prov 16:19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Prov 29:23 A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

Even being proud that you are a Christian is bad. Pride should not be any part of us. (read Pride before the Fall)

It's pride or fear that causes us to have an attitude. My daughter said she asked God how she would know if her thoughts were of her or of Him. God answered, "I don't have an attitude."

Since we are to strive to become like Jesus, we should ask Him to remove pride from us so we can become humble. Jesus was a humble man.

If fear is the cause of your attitude, remember that fear is not from God. Depend on him to protect you and give you the words you need to answer anyone.

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
