Who We Should and Should not Help by Fran Meservy
Be it individual, family, city or country - the principle applies. If they don't want us there or won't listen to us, leave and turn them over to God.
Mat 10:13-15 "If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. "Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
Mark 6:11 "And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
Shake (to brandish, wave, or flourish often in a threatening manner; to cause to quake, quiver or tremble; to get away from; to get rid of; to lessen the stability of) the dust (something worthless; a state of humiliation) from your feet (plural for foot: kick; reject; to make speed) - symbolizing: to declare unworthy; to reject and shake ones self loose from another's grasp
