Rev 3:1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
Rev 4:5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Rev 5:6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
1. Creator (of heavens, earth & all therein) - Gen 1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Psa 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.
2. Indwelling (Born Again/Adoption/Love) - Gen 41:38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?" Exo 31:3 "And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, Exo 31:4 "to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, Exo 31:5 "in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. Dan 5:13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke, and said to Daniel, "Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? Dan 5:14 "I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 3. Anointing (on us - gives us gifts/to proclaim the Gospel) - 1 Sam 10:10 When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. Rom 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient; Rom 15:19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Luke 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."
4. Anger (righteous Anger from God to bring justice) - 1 Sam 11:6 Then the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard this news, and his anger was greatly aroused. Mat 21:12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. Mat 21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"
5. Transporting (moves a person from one place to another) - Ezek 11:24 Then the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to those in captivity. And the vision that I had seen went up from me. Ezek 11:25 So I spoke to those in captivity of all the things the LORD had shown me. 1 Ki 18:12 "And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth. Acts 8:39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. Acts 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.
6. Messenger (teaches us and tells us the things of God) - 1 Cor 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Cor 2:13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
7. Guiding (leads us to do God’s will) - Mat 3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. Mat 3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Mat 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near and overtake this chariot." Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 1 Pet 3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. 1 Cor 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
